Just wondering if anyone knows of any temporary living accommodations for a family with large dogs and 1 small child while we list our home for sale?

The dogs cannot go to a kennel as one is going through chemo and requires lots of meds/vet visits. The dogs are well trained and well behaved but somewhat intimidating so somewhere with space would be preferred (ie a cottage?)

We'd be willing to replace any grass/have the home professionally cleaned after we leave or restrict the dogs to certain rooms if the owner doesn't want the dogs on furniture or carpets. (we're landlords too).

It would be in the range of 1-2 weeks or for the season if it's nice

If anyone knows of anything, please let me know! :)

When would you need this (approx start date), and where in town would you prefer? One option is to find a vacant rental that is listed when you are looking, offer a respectable premium on the rate they are asking (since very short term), and go from there.
I will ask around just in case

Thanks Fred! :)

It would be from approx Feb 1, 2015. Location isn't terribly important, within 70km of Toronto is preferred but even a vacation rental is workable.

Condition is also not an issue, as long as it has heat, we're good to go! lol

2 would be coming with us. Both are CGN certified. They're 5 & 8 years old and would be crated while we're away.

Ok. I ask because I've sold houses where the home owners had some rather intimidating dogs, one of which was almost 150 lbs, and we were able to work showings around the owners schedule and the dogs.

2 dogs isn't bad. Do you absolutely need to have them completely removed from the property while you are selling?

Would you consider a extended stay hotel? The Staybridge Suties Oakville-Burlington offers daily, weekly and monthly rates and is pet friendly. It is not your typical hotel, with fully furnished condo style suites, it is designed for long term stays. All suites come with fully equipped kitchens (full sized fridge, microwave, stove top burners, dishwasher, coffee pot toaster, dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc) and rates include a full hot buffet breakfast every morning and a light supper is also included Mondays through Thursdays. Other amenities include, free parking, free WIFI, 24hr fitness centre and business centre, 24hr complimentary self-serve laundry facilities, indoor heated pool, 24hr Theatre room. If you would like more information or would like to book a site tour to check out our suites/facilities you can contact the Staybridge Suites Oakville-Burlington Sales team at 289-291-4725.
