That other thread on this topic was a debacle, but there is some truth to the annoyance of price matchers. That's why I only shop at Metro and Longos for groceries. It sounds like in this case, this person was cheap and annoying, which as bad as cheap people with attitude (the worst kinds of cheap fukks to deal with).

The annoying type of price matchers also will tend to avoid eye contact with the people behind them they are holding up, that's another thing I've noticed. Grocers need to designate a Price Matchers Only line for sure, or at least do a test run to see if it works.

I don't mind the organized folks who price match because it's the stores who offer this and I know it's hard to make ends meet these days. I just don't like The disorganized, deviant types. So either go early if you're gonna price match, mor let the person with just 2-3 items go ahead of you as I let ppl do when I have lots of stuff.

How about this? Pay for the groceries like everyone else in line. Then take your receipt and coupons/smartphone along to customer service. Have that counter deal with it. Feel free to line up on YOUR OWN TIME there and get your credit. However, I am guessing only a handful of them would actually waste THEIR OWN time in that line...
This price matching farce has gone over the top. I think I'm done shopping at Superstore as well. Those insane long aisles don't help matters much either. It was much better the first few years.

We need to stand up to this. Please shame them when you see them doing it. I do.

say stuff like

"Oh come on, cant you do that when the store isn't busy"

"Thanks for the heads up, now I cant go to another line"

"You can at least let the person know behind you that you're planning on doing that so we don't get stuck behind you"

if they roll their eyes or get lippy, unleash a barrage of "cheap ass" "broke ass" "find a job that pays better" and go to town on them.

All of the misery you feel because of price matching, the better I sleep at night.
May all the non price matchers go f**K themselves!

Oh, and merry christmas to price matchers.

It is "their own time". It just so happens to impact your time. Such is life.

I get my kids to distract them in the parking lot, then steal one of their grocery bags.

Have designated lines for people that want to price match

Easy enough.

Dedicated lane sounds good but the "go to customer service after "option sounds even better.

go to customer service option is princess approved. pay for everything normally, then go to customer service with your coupons and get your discount. that's more courteous and respectful to your fellow neighbour.

How about limiting price matching to 1-2 items per visit? Make them line up again. Should minimize the delays faced. I also like the suggestion of a designated price matching line. God help the clerk that gets stuck working that lane!

I wonder if you actually have the tits to back up your typed words.

You have some serious issues, young lady. Fortunately there are clinics that can treat you for that. Once successful, we would welcome you back to the human race with open arms.
