ya sure no problem.

I mentioned the structural upgrades in previous comments.

We upgraded our hardwood to a 4 inch and also did hardwood in the kitchen. ( wished for a 5 but couldn't justify the money)
Hardwood for upper hallway
we opted for the bigger tile level 3 in the foyer/ mudroom, and the powder room.
We did the wrought iron pickets on our stairs
we opted for granite
Grande package kitchen
we upgraded are cabinets to the classic line costing about ($10,100)
we opted for stacked cabinets
we added some glass cabinets
upgraded kitchen hardware
fireplace mantel was upgraded

and that's pretty much it for big things.

What options do they have for upgrading the fireplace? I'm thinking a bigger fireplace would suit the room or at least a larger mantle. Do you remember the price?
And omg to 10k for cabinet upgrades :s

They need puck lights apparently not pot lights. We did not do them as they were over priced. We got the rough in and will get them done with our pot lights after closing.

Hello Dundas Owners,

I wanted to bring something to everyone's attention as it was missed on our end. We recently went to go see our home and it is in the framing process. As we walked into our family room we noticed that the 2 windows on each side of the fireplace we small, high (above eye level) windows.

If you did not opt for the alternate fireplace location and when with the included layout you will have this. We just assumed they were full length high windows. I dont mind but my husband is turned off. just an FYI.

Thanks

Rosaj2, is this shown on the drawings you were provided at the design centre? They should show the elevations with the fireplace option.

Edit: I just saw your floor plan..there is a fireplace included but shows that it is high level windows.. I guess it will allow you to still put a table or chair on that wall without blocking the windows..

Hi Rosa
Yes they are small high windows like the ones in the Orchid model home in Oakville. See below. We like them because they are a nice addition to that wall without letting too much sun in. Do you know at what height they start? If you don't mind can you post pictures?
Also, did you upgrade the patio doors? If not, then what is the full width of the sliding doors? 6 feet or 8 feet?
Thanks
