So my 5 year old, he asks me about St Patrick the other day, since it was his feast day.

I say he was a Saint and that, among other things, drove the Snakes out of Ireland.

10 minutes later, I hear my 5 year old explaining to his 7 year old sister who St Patrick is.

So he explains, “He was a saint that drove the snakes out of Ireland in his car.”

Sometimes you just have to love how the human brain works.

The guy didn't do anything to remove serpents from Ireland. The snakes he supposedly rid the country of were the pagans (who used a lot of snakes in their day to day hocus pocus).

So really the guy is famous for his religious oppression and making Christianity super popular in Ireland. Hooray for that, I suppose. Drink up!!
