How much do y’all get reimbursed for driving?
I get $0.43/km. I recall back in 2009 thinking that’s ok, but at the low end.
It’s never changed.

looks like you are working for small to medium size company. Large companies revise their policies every year.

If all the employees are getting this rate, you are not going to negotiate.

This mileage reimbursement is not just to cover gas expense. It is to cover, depreciation of the vehicle, maintenance of the vehicle, registration and any interest cost.

There ya go Norts. You just need to get promoted.

I would take transit in protest until they increase their mileage reimbursement rate to a meaningful amount.

Are you happy with car allowance, as you may have less after tax dollars now than before.

You sound butt hurt that you didn’t get a car allowance. Guess Carl didn’t get the promotion...

.55 is pretty common. It’s what I pay my staff.

More than happy (even after taxes are taken into consideration). Plus I don't have to do annoying mileage expense reports anymore.

Thanks guys. It’s a trip to north Guelph monthly, maybe a few other little errands around Halton. Not a big deal, but still a piss off to not be fairly treated. I got bigger fish to fry offering bigger returns to fill my day I guess.
Car allowance is definitely not in the cards. Couple sick days on the golf course should even things up.

You made an assumption car allowance equates with promotion. It depends on company policy. Usually marketing job related employees are provided with car allowance.

Glad I am in a situation, I can decide on remuneration planning.

Maybe it works for him?

You’re like the president of the Mileage Reimbursement Fan Club.

By the way, what is mileage in kilometres?? Kilometerage?

lol

Luckily my job pays well enough I do not need to count the pennies

Seriously Carl
Either way company card for stuff like gas & food is way more ease of use than trying to profit
