Hi all -- I am starting a basement finishing (I mean, not me; it's the contractor that's doing the actual work), and the laundry room is part of it. I want to replace the stained old laundry tub with a nice looking new one, and I'm seeing laundry cabinets out there on the various sites (Home Depot, Lowes, Rona, etc) but the reviews are pretty much all poor for the all-in-one options. It kind of seems like it would be best to put together one using the various components (cabinet, sink, faucet) purchased separately, but I cannot for the life of me locate the separate components (with the exception of laundry faucets which are easy enough to find). I see this cabinet sold by itself at Rona, but I can't find a laundry tub to put into it. Has anyone done this? I'm not sure where to go and what to do. :/

Go to the big Rona in Oakville. I think it’s around Dundas & Guelph Line.

Is there a new one out that direction?

That would be Burlington and you are about 30 minutes away from any one I know of.

Yeah, that’s probably in Burlington then.
They can be slow to offer help, but they have the connections for custom stuff, if you can wait many weeks for delivery.

Well, I don't really have weeks, so I was hoping to find a cabinet and then a sink that can go in it. Like, I was wondering if this cabinet would accommodate this sink; how would I know? I don't know whether there is a specific type of sink that can go over a cabinet like that. :/

The cabinet is 24", the sink is 25" so no won't fit.

It would fit.
There is an overhang. A lip around the top.
It's like a counter top. One inch bigger than the cabinet.

The lip is meant to make contact on all 4 sides on the counter, have a good look at the pic.

I see a 1/2 inch overhang in the pic. So one inch bigger.
I went and looked at mine. It is a 21" cabinet with a 22" sink.

OK the cabinet is 24" square, the sink page says...Recommended cabinet size: 24.2" L x 21.35" W... so front to back it won't fit either.
