I think this short video will add some much needed clarity to the conversation.
https://youtu.be/fxATyB6t-QYI'm sorry but this increases the chaos. What the hell is going on in here?
I suppose the thread is for people to post their Parade experiences
and their
Wish List
of floats and banners they'd like to see marching down Main St on Nov 18
Experience One
The sister had a travel agency .got a cheapo pasteboard cruise ship about 20 feet long from one of the tour operators and mounted it on the flatbed trailer of a willing transport company, staffed it with elf travel counsellors and afterwards the pasteboard cruise ship got stored outside and turned to mushy soggy pasteboard
Experience No Two
I was the transport for a towbehind trailer attached to a lawn tractor for the 2004 Milton Parade
A towbehind with teddy bear on a mini rocking chair staring at a Christmas tree and with a boom box playing X Mas music
the takeaway from that one was a 1000 watt invertor
Wish List
I actually saw a small dragon float with students dressed as dwarves on a parade float
for the Straffordville Watermelon Days town parade
Though a pasteboard dragon/castle/dwarves/elves cutout float is possible they're not economical
so my dream banner would have
Ebeneezer Scrooge riding a dragon chasing the jolly old elf on a
16 foot wide by 4 foot tarp banner, perhaps with one of those marching bands
playing
Creedance Clearwater Revivals tune
Bad Moon as part of the assemblage
No tractor=trailer float
just a banner with rock music
PS and for those not familiar with preMattamy Milton
the imaginal camera is parked at the corner of Main and Martin,in front of the
Post Office and on the south side of the street you have the
Kentucky Fried Chicken store and the financial business that used to be a trust till
Toronto Dominion snapped it up
