Nothing random

I'm just pointing out it's more economical and effective to interact with Canada's national broadcaster
then with the social media mnagers of political parties

It takes a bit more work to sneak a grassroots political idea into a
TV Radio or Podcast pitch to CBC but
it does at least get a response from CBC

Sending that same political idea
(with or without the art around it) to the social medi mnager of a political party is waste of time

and CBC's current Presidents email address is

Catherine.tait@cbc.ca

Well in Jan/Feb 2019 Service Canada will be opening its
online application system so that non profits and service clubs can apply for
100% funding to hire students for festivals and other community development stuff through the
Canada Summer Jobs program.

From my experience Service Canada approves about 3 students/constituency for
8 weeks at 30hours/week

This year I sent in applications for about a $250,000 payroll request and
50 students and got 14 students for $50,000

Since all the existing MP's be they Liberal,Conservatibve or NDP
are already helping us fill in those gruelling 50 page applications
what does Adam bring to the table that we don't already get from
Lisa Raitt?

IOW I could care less if youth admire Adam cuz I'm the one who has to do the paperwork
and elbowgrease
not Adam!

It’s not about Adam vs. Lisa. It’s about Adam vs. Minmaxx slime.

So in 2019 Milton's NGO's can look forward to
the 7th installment of the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy

Rise of the Lord of Slime

figureative metaphorical allegorical synopsis

Prime Wizard Gandlf Trudeau = PM Justin Trudeau
Lady Raitt = MP Lisa Rait
Lord of Slime nope not really the 2015 dude nope not here folks
Adam Sackville Bagginses = Adam Vancoevorden the Kayak Olympian
Eagle Thunderbirds = local liberal machine?
Gollum = Let me think on that one
stoned Brown Wizard = Miltons 14 to 22 age group on the Weed

All was good in the Land. The bad guys had been vanquished and Gandalf Trudeau had finally
got some Rand R with the Spirit Woodland Elf Lady Moira.

Up in the skies above the Land Gandalf Trudeau's giant Eagle-Thunderbirds
were flying about clutch dwarves, hobbits and a protesting Brown Wizard who was still smoking
too many Magic Mushrooms, once called Cannabis

So it was a bit of a surprise to Gandalf Trudeau when his once enemy Lady Raitt the Woodland Elf vanished near
Milton. The Prime Wizard made inquiries and learned horror or horrors that the Lord of the Rings twin brother
the Lord of Slime, had left Mount Doom and now had his throne in Milton, along with his cash grabbing lackey-minions.

What could Prime Wizard Trudeau do?He blew on his huge hunting horn and a solitary Eagle-Thunderbird came winging over
carrying a protesting figure.

The wannabe Hero was not the dwarf Thorin, not even a pony,or the pot smoking Brown Wizard
but one of Bilbo Baggins and Frodo's
less reputable relatives

the smeared dirty of the face hobbit
Adam Sackville Bagginses,.

Gandalf Trudeau had been hoping for the five foot ten Golden Son of Bard the Archer
but he'd have to make do with this hobbit. At least the youthful hobbit had
blond hair.

And so Prime Minister Trudea waved his hands placing wards of protection
onto the 'munchkin',as his Parliamentary Secretary Gollum describe Adam.
and the yowling hobbit with blond hair was dropped into the troubled
village of Milton to try to oust the Lord of Smile.

When the Prime Wizard turned and asked Gollum if maybe he
wanted to head to Milton and help Adam battle the Lord of Slime
,and maybe get the Ring back,
the diminutive green skinned amphibious figure shook his head
gave his boss a good firm stare with those goggley eyes of his and whispered
"No Prescious (spelling) there,I'm outta here today boss"

Next Installment

Will Adam find the missing woodland elf Lady Raitt?
Will she help him defet the greater evil, the Lord of Slime?
And just what is the Lord of Slime up to in his throne room?

I'm thinking this plotline needs a major rework. As you've got it, it appears that the Lord of Slime is an unexpected intruder, and someone opposed to the Prime Wizard, who you depict as a noble figure. I think a more accurate plot is that the Prime Wizard is actually the nefarious figure, and the Lord of Slime is one of his cash-grabbing lackey minions, sent to this far-flung battleground as a ringer to secure a seat of power for the Prime Wizard's dream of family empire. The figure of Bagginses is viewed by the PW to be the unpopular unexpected intruder, and would spoil his plans of winning power in this riding. Empire at any cost, at the expense of all else.

Well?

Hi Hodor - I see you have commented that you registered, that's great, thank you. As you mentioned, yes, it is free to register.

What happens next is we're waiting for the nomination meeting to be called. Once it is called, those who registered will be able to vote for the person who will become the candidate for the Liberals in the election.

I advocate being part of nomination contests now no matter the party. No longer should we allow our community to be the personal stomping ground for unscrupulous, power-seeking thugs. We should instead ensure that only the best candidates, truly good candidates, are nominated to represent us in government. No matter which party you belong to, whoever is elected as our representative has to speak for us all.

If I can answer any additional questions, let me know.

So what are the next steps? I had to unsubscribe from the barrage of emails because seeing Trudeau’s face begging me for $5 every day got old, fast.

Is there a way to just show up somewhere, vote for “not Rizvee,” and leave? Will coffee and donuts be provided?

Lord of the Rings/Hobbit
version of
Canada Votes 2019

So as I recall from the Hobbit films
Smaug the Golden charges out of Misty Mountain totally bent on revenge,
gets to cremate Watertown, and in his Death Plunge
from the Heights gets to squash the Master who is fleeing burning Watertown
on a boat loaded with his valuables.

CanadaVotes2019 version
Maxime Bernier is Smaug, out for revenge on Andrew Scheer.
Since I'm getting emails from Maxime asking me to send my political
donation to Official Agent Christian Roy at some address in Quebec
the plotline even has a hoard in Quebec with "Misty Mountain" over there

So Maxime Bernier, enemy of Andrew Scheer.is Smaug the Golden
presumably roaring bout.smashing and shaking the Connservatives
and maybe slated for a Spectatular Death Plunge from the Heighs

As I recall in Hobbit/Unexpected Journey the mushroom eating nature
loving Brown Wizard observes a human necromancer raising the dead and performing the Dark Arts
in the ancient gloomy ruined fortress of Ghuul Moduur( spelling)

CanadaVotes2019 version

According to the countless Conservative spam mails I've gotten over the last 4 years
Justin Trudeau is most assuredly the Human Necromancer raising the Dead and
performing the Dread Arts

However in their Conservative vision Canada will end up getting
turned into the Ruined Gloomy Fortress unless Justin gets the Boot

LOTR/Hobbit v CanadaVotes2019

Course if Maxime Bernier is Smug that suggests
the Conservative Party he left is Watertown
ready to go up in flames as the tories run around as Bernier torches em

Theres actually some online evidence that this might happen
as Nicola Hanson,Bernier's Ontario person
has said in a tweet on her twitter account
if Maxime forms a coalition with Scheer
"I'm Gone"
and there are other twitter posts with such tones as

"are you a Scheerite?"

So its possible Smaug and Watertown will both figureatively go down
in CanadaVotes2019
as the conversative vote gets split

Yeah the daily email got annoying quick. Even his wife was sending me messages...talk about coming on a little strong.

The hell you say. That's just the truth, or at least what actually could play out here if good and noble creatures like the Bagginses are not successful in their struggle against Evil.

It's too bad we seem to have to hotwire democracy to make it work like it should, can we call it political activism out here in the periphery burbs?? This is simply how our intentionally arcane system works though (way worse in USA), and incumbents like the PW have a powerful advantage. Many nominations have been won and quashed using this hack (*cough* prime example redacted *cough*), so it could work for the Bagginses too!

Still waiting on the MDD rewrite though, case I'm missing something.

I'm guessing you live near Henderson Road, ground zero for this contagion!

Truthfully I'm not sure I follow Dutchie's rambling storyline you're trying to edit but if you're saying party insiders have way too much influence over the party apparatus, I completely agree. The most obvious evidence we have seen in recent times is the ouster of Patrick Brown and the shock and struggles of party insiders when Doug Ford won the nomination. They had created rules they thought would give them more control and influence but this backfired when Doug won without even winning the majority of the votes. He was clearly not the candidate the party insiders wanted.

I think the cause of this is that people/citizens don't care about the local riding associations. When you go to the meetings it's usually a bunch of old, retired white dudes who are looking for something to fill their Saturday mornings with. Without any real resistance, the central party can do what they like. Patrick Brown was particularly good at this and a reason I started to lose support for him and it's a reason why I've signed up for Liberal spam. There is a strong likelihood our riding will have a Federal Liberal MP next election so I want to have some influence over who that is (and more importantly isn't cough:shady RE:cough). Get involved or you'll get the candidate you deserve.
