My neighbor is building a basement apartment with a side entrance fronting my side of the house.
I can understand folks are trying make additional income by renting.

Will this have a negative impact on the value of my property ? And can i object to the town on this ground ?
Thanks

Is it ground level entry or stairs to basement? Usually the distance between houses won't allow for stairs to basement hence they are at the back of the house. What do you mean "fronting my side of the house"?

Yes - It is a ground level entry -- i meant the entrance is on the side of the house and facing my side of the house.

In a new home? Check the measurements I am skeptical there is enough clearance for it to be legal.

You probably will not lose value on your home but where will the new tenants park their cars ?, OR does the neighbour have a double driveway that they do not use ? Streets clogged with parked cars can IMO effect resale if potential buyers feel that it will be difficult for them or their guests to find a parking spot.

Will the apartment be used for Airbnb and have new people every week. I am not sure I would want strangers at the side of my home all the time.
