So I tackled a wallpaper project in my living room this past weekend & realized soon after starting that the paper was not pre-pasted. I purchased the necessary tools / paste & after putting up one strip I think it would be best left to a professional ! Just looking for recommendations. It is just one wall - 13' wide x 9' high, that requires 7 full strips to complete. Thanks in advance ! Sarah |

Good Luck! It took us 4 weekends to do a powder room with the paste the wall. That was the first and last time EVER for a wall papering project in my life time! I really feel your pain! I hope you find someone! |

I used to do this many years ago. If you paste the wall as you would as if painting (about a strip and a bit wide) it is fairly easy. I used to charge $20 a strip but have no idea of the going rates. Paint the wall with the paste. Add a little extra to the seams and edges. I used a bristle smoothing brush rather than the plaster spreaders. Also have a bucket of warm water and rag available. After each strip wash down the seam to remove any excess paste to prevent shiny seams. A seam roller is also invaluable. I would be happy to help but I think my rates would be excessive. If you want to negotiate lets connect by direct message. |

Are you trying to revive the spirit of the 1970s, Sarah? j/k. How about checking out some youtube videos to see different techniques? GL. |

Hi We used a lot of paste. We found if you use a lot of paste it was easier to move and slide it for applying. We used the wall paper from home depot and followed the instructions on the label which helped for starting us off. If you are stuck and really need help we can come over to give you a few pointers. |

I know this is a little late but here is a video of our home that shows the wallpaper feature wall. I tackled the installation myself & it was not fun but turned out well. Thanks to Fred for the awesome video & representing the sale of our home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBozah0hImk |
