Missing possibly since Wednesday :( Not an outdoor cat, suspect he darted out the door late Wednesday night and was not noticed. I am in complete shock it took me until this morning to realize he was gone, as i'm drawing blanks. Few pets in the house, and Scamp is timid, so not uncommon to not see him for a while. Busy last few days and it just donned on me this morning that he wasn't around. Shame on me, feel like a terrible owner. Have contacted the OMHS and Milton Animal Control, and sent them pics. Pics attached below. I have followed their suggestions and will be going door to door in my immediate neighbourhood. Barring that, hopefully someone spots him or he comes home on his own. Yes i'm acutely aware of what lurks in the fields around me.

Please contact Brian 416-258-6395.

Area - McJannett Ave and Minchin Way/Savoline Blvd

Brown Tabby, Male, Short Hair - goes by Scamp, no collar, is microchipped, and I have the ID #. Likely will be afraid of or dart from strangers at first, however if he is lonely by now as I imagine, he probably will be looking for some attention. Loves to purr once he has warmed up to someone. Has his claws, and they haven't been clipped in awhile please beware.

I do not own a cat but from what I have gathered from others on this site.

Other have suggested you put his bed or a blanket towel and familiar toy out on your front and the back door step. This will give your cat the sense of home. Remember your cat will not know what the outside of your home looks like, it will most likely go on smell and familiar objects. If he smells and finds familiar things, Scamp may stick around your yard till he/she hears your voice. Maybe put out some sort of a cat house or carrier with a blanket he/she can hide in till you get home from work. Hope you find him soon

Try leaving his litter box outside, as well as any items that may have your scent. Hopefully that will help him find his way back. its cold out there, but get out and look if you can, call out to him, look under cars, whatever you can. Night time is best, less things which can spook him and less noise. Don't give up!

Thought we saw a similar looking cat crossing Whaley near Grenke the other night. Will keep an eye out.

Hi all thanks for the interest!

I've put out a crate with some food and some clothes I pulled out of my laundry basket.... figuring the scent of me will help him feel comfortable enough to hunker down for the night in the crate should he come back. I've also used the suggestion of the litter as the OMHS advised of that as well. Have been walking around quite a bit at night with our puppy, I know it might be a double edged sword, but i'm hoping Buster clues into something I don't.

Tonight I picked up a couple game trail cameras, and am going to setup them up in the front and back of the house. Even if he doesn't reappear and stick around, even a picture that these might pickup will at least tell me if he is still around. If that works, then I will go find a live trap to get him next time he comes around.

SM .... thanks for that tip. I will walk around there tonight. The last two nights - including just now - i've seen the same doppleganger lookalike that got me excited for a split second. Then I realize it's not Scamp. Hopefully, if these other cats I see hanging around are in fact outdoor cats, fingers crossed if they are making out alright, so is Scamp. He might not be as adventurous, but hopefully is smart enough to dodge any trouble.

I know two different families who lost their cats and got them back with the litter box trick. Fingers crossed! I'll keep my eye out as well.

I'm so sorry, I will be on the lookout. I often see cats along the gas line path on my walks. Mouse hunting is the attraction to them.
I hope he (she?) returns home soon.

Maybe take a peek over your fence to see if he's in your neighbours food-lawn catching mice.

So no updates on Scamp. Someone did come along this morning, so if anyone is missing a fluffy grey persian, here is a pic. I haven't seen this guy around in the neighbourhood. A neighbour says he sees a gray cat every morning around 5, so I suspect this might be him, as it was around the time the video was taken. Timestamp in the pic is incorrect.

Will be canvassing the neighbourhood today. A friend told me of their missing cat for 3 days this past winter. Was eventually found in the neighbour's yard hiding under a BBQ cover. So there is some hope, he is nearby. I've been told that indoor cats will not stray far and will hide.

What a great idea, game cameras. "Thanks fat lazy hunters, for the technology advancements". I hope this plan works, hope your little dude is returned home safely.

For the other cat, I'm thinking he looks like a pet, someone is probably looking for him too. I'd call the Humane Society and see if anyone has reported a missing cat to this description. I'd fix your camera time stamp btw, that's important info. If he's habit-driven, you can be ready at certain times.

Called OMHS no one has reported this little guy missing.

Just a reminder, they say I have to do a hands and knees search of my surrounding neighbours properties. Not sure where some of the posters live, but if you are within the gas line, Savoline, Dymott to Tremaine area, I think that would be a good place to start. I highly doubt he would have roamed that far, but it has been a few days now. Wow that will be a lot of flyers!

Try taping flyers to all of the super mailboxes in the area. I know Moose's owners did the same. It's technically illegal, but if all the "pot light" guys and housekeeper gals can get away with it, good causes can too.

Make up full-page flyers with a photo, in a plastic sheet protector sleeve to make it weather proof for a few extra days.

We're nowhere near, but we will watch out in our woods anyway, you never know. Hang in there.

I think I may have just seen your cat while out on a walk with the dog. I approached it but it took off, probably because of the dog. I saw him over at Leiterman and Whehwell. Hope you find it soon and l'll keep an eye out on future walks.
