I know of a boy 18 going in for surgery he will be in bed for at least a few days. He loves to read therefore I would like to get him a book or series of books. In the past I have purchased him Game of Thorns Series and he loved them but not sure what else. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated Thanks |

I read a lot and based on what he is interested in I would recommend Joe Abercrombie as an author. Does the similar gritty world. Also, First Law Trilogy is a completed story and that is always a plus when sick and have the time to read through a few books. |

We've met Pat Rothfuss several times, such a SUPER nice guy - he is getting SO harassed by people begging for the 3rd book!  "The Slow Regard of Quiet Things" is next on my "to read" list. |
