Hi guys, I have a 4 year old niece and 6 year old nephew. The girl likes drawing, coloring and crafts and the boy likes hockey. Any gift suggestions within $100 for each of them ($200 total, +/- $50)? I'm not going to get hockey equipment, but any particularly cool toys or kits relating to the above interests that you can recommend me based on their age? If you have some ideas, share, and let me know where I could find them. Thanks! |

I bought my 7 year old nephew these... http://rollergard.com they sell them at 16 mile creek arena. We also bought him one of those heavy orange pucks for practicing. For your niece, they have some good craft kits at Michaels and at Mastermine. I'm wracking my brain for ideas for a gift for my 10 year old niece and was also going to ask for suggestions here! I have bought her craft stuff before so want to think of something else. |

American Girl to the rescue! Expensive, so we only buy the accessories rather than the dolls themselves. Most girls of any age seem to want them. |

This may not be for you but,,,,, I always like giving my daughters money in the form of origami stars, shirts, boxes, rings, or what ever I can make. The last ones I made for them was some ninja stars and they turned out great. 2 bills are required to make ninja stars and the old bills work better than our new plastic money. What I enjoy about giving them this origami money is that they tend to save it. They cant bring themselves to ruin them by opening them up. Just watch this and you will be off and,,,,,, folding. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmuG6RpPRnc |

I made dresses, boots, hats, and jackets with 20s and a couple of 50s. I guess my wife is easily impressed |
