We literally just got back from dinner at the Marquee. This is their 3rd week open. We give it a raving review!! Our waiter said everything is made in house, including the stocks they cook with. Tonight was their first night providing fresh-baked bread. It was TO DIE FOR. Hot, and melt in your mouth, with garlic, walnuts, etc. baked right into the bread. The atmosphere is really nice. They had a live piano player tonight (he plays Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays). The music/singing was nice and gave a really great ambiance, but wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear yourself talk. Very soft, actually. I ordered a flank steak pasta with wild mushrooms, and hubby ordered the 10oz steak special. Hubby's dad was a beef grader growing up, so he's grown up eating the best cuts of meat around, and his comment on his steak was "wow, what a beautiful piece of beef". Everything was delicious, right down to the fresh ginger-crusted cheesecake we shared for dessert. Hubby was pleased with the portions, as he's paid for far too many meals where he walks out still hungry. We are both stuffed! Service was great and both the owners were walking around checking on every table personally. They were quite busy, and people were still walking in when we left. We will definitely try this place again!! We would give it a solid 8 stars out of 10!
