Any good? Is it new or has it been there for a while? I would have noticed I think.

EDIT: It actually has a website http://www.marqueesteakhouse.com

Hmm seems an odd fit for that area

Are you being facetious?

I don't know what that means. They're not like amazing, amazing, but not terrible or anything. Price is okay.

My friend and her hubby went a week ago and said it was pretty good. They told her that they have not ramped up their advertising yet.

We literally just got back from dinner at the Marquee. This is their 3rd week open. We give it a raving review!! Our waiter said everything is made in house, including the stocks they cook with. Tonight was their first night providing fresh-baked bread. It was TO DIE FOR. Hot, and melt in your mouth, with garlic, walnuts, etc. baked right into the bread. The atmosphere is really nice. They had a live piano player tonight (he plays Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays). The music/singing was nice and gave a really great ambiance, but wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear yourself talk. Very soft, actually. I ordered a flank steak pasta with wild mushrooms, and hubby ordered the 10oz steak special. Hubby's dad was a beef grader growing up, so he's grown up eating the best cuts of meat around, and his comment on his steak was "wow, what a beautiful piece of beef". Everything was delicious, right down to the fresh ginger-crusted cheesecake we shared for dessert. Hubby was pleased with the portions, as he's paid for far too many meals where he walks out still hungry. We are both stuffed! Service was great and both the owners were walking around checking on every table personally. They were quite busy, and people were still walking in when we left. We will definitely try this place again!! We would give it a solid 8 stars out of 10! :)

Can you provide the rough price of the food?

See, that equates to 4.00 stars, minus 0.25 for the price.

...3.75 Stars

Sure, appetizers were between $6 and $13 I think (from soups, to salads, to mussels, crab fritters, etc.). Pasta dishes were around $17 to $20ish (the one I ordered was $18 I think). Hubby's steak special was $30, but it was worth the money. Came with a generous portions of mushrooms, potatoes and veggies. Smaller steaks were around $24-$28, chicken was in the low $20s I think, and they had other dishes like lamb that were in the low $30s. Dessert was $7, and it was a BIG piece of cheesecake. Wine was $6 a glass for the house wine, I think. Not super cheap all in all, but you really get what you pay for. Like I said, we've paid a lot more for meals and come out of there hungry and not at all pleased with the quality. Hope you enjoy!

The contact link doesn't show an address. Where exactly is it on Steeles? I'm always up for good steak.
