Yes, everyone on here is being very mature.

I have a small secret...one time I was in Wal Mart right here in Milton. The guy in front of us bought about 10 cases of Pepsi and 7up. He wanted to price match. I wasn't aggravated. I was actually kind of amazed cause I never saw anyone be so passionate about price matching. Anywho, after about 10 mins, the cashier finally started doing her thing and finished with Mr. Price Matcher. Our turn was next...she was so confused and aggravated with the price matching fiasco, she completely forgot to ring up my husband's steeltoe workboots ($169) but rang up everything else. As we were leaving, I whispered to my husband "start the car" and we left.

Was that wrong?

Would it help if I said I didn't realize it until we were walking out?

Depends on a lot of things... I won't think any less of you if that's what you're worried about LOL ;)

Walmart has done terrible things to the economy so my heart doesn't bleed much for them.

Do you shop at Wal Mart?

No, but not because I'm above saving money, I just like to spend my money at stores that pay their employees a living wage.

What do you consider to be a living wage? And which retail stores pay such a wage to their employees?

We were just talking about "get in the car" moments the other day at work. I guess technically its illegal but you gotta take what you can get, good on ya NIT!

I don't know anyone who woulda yelled "HEY WAIT WAIT WAIT...YOU SCREWED UP!!!!"
It's one thing if I get too much money back...I don't want the cashier to pay for it out of his/her pocket, but this was like "hey you...here's a gift"

I found a $100 bill, folded up on the floor, at Sears in Montreal last month. No one near it. Of course I took it.

I think in Ontario it's around $17-$20/hr
Costco pays their employees well and provides health benefits.

I would have. But then, I'm not a thoughtless ignorant loudmouth greek woman.

When I put something in my cart, I expect to pay for it. I once got to my car at Loblaws and realized they didn't charge me for the plunger on the bottom of the cart - so I went back inside and paid for it. You know, part of being a contributing member of society and everything.

I would have turned in the $100 bill you found too. Usually if left unclaimed, they will just give it to you after a couple weeks. But there's a chance that it was some kid's life savings, and you passed up a golden opportunity to show them that the world doesn't totally suck balls.

Way to go, NIT - a shining example yet again of how not to behave. At least you're honest about being a dirtbag.

Hmmm...you come off as a giant drunk asshole on this forum so I find it hard to believe that you're such an upstanding, God-fearing person in real life. But good try though.

You went back and paid for the plunger cause you left it in your cart. Your mistake. The boots were on the counter...the cashier took each one out to make sure the size was right. Wal Mart's mistake. And yes, I kept the $100. I didn't realize that there are suckers out there that would return money found randomly on the floor of some giant department store. But then again, you pour money into the Leafs so I suppose you're a fool in many other arenas as well.

Then don't shop retail/food service at all, unless it's Costco or Starbucks. Doesn't matter how shiny the store is or how high end, generally the employees usually make the same as Wal-Mart workers.
