they do NOT have the same dimensions. Trust me we just went through this. It is imperative that you send the instructions for the brand, model and type, we switched to a gas stove and that even caused an issue. It makes a difference where your cut out is and if it's too large you'll have a gap around your stove, they will also want to see where the outlet has to go so there is room to slide in. Also if it is large or gas they will have to delete the backsplash attacked to the countertop.

Unlike a cooktop where dimensions vary quite a bit, most slide-in ranges are for a 30" wide opening and can tolerate some variance (they are designed to overlap the countertop about a 1/2 inch on either side). Where there may be some difference is in the depth of the range, in other words how much of the back edge of the counter needs to be left in place to give a completely built in look. A slide in can sometimes be fitted into a counter with an integrated back splash but not always, it depends on how deep the range is and if its depth would interfere with the integrated back splash. Typically a slide-in is used with a flat to the wall counter top and a tile, or other back splash attached to the wall or no back splash at all, just painted dry wall. If the cut out is made too deep there are filler kits that are used to fill in the space at the back (in fact they can fill in the space right back to the wall if the cut out was originally for a stand alone range. If the cut out is not deep enough then obviously it can be made deeper (may not be easy if the counter is granite or other hard stone).

Pitapoda did give the best advice though, if you can decide what you want now and send the dimensions to Mattamy it would be best. The likely reason why Mattamy wants you to give them dimensions is that if they follow your instructions and it doesn't fit then it is your problem to pay to fix and not theirs.

We gave our slide in specs to our granite guy, we should be ok right?
