it doesnt really stick out that much, i have the grande layout and my built in oven and micro is right next to the fridge, so i thought a fridge that sticks out too much will not look good next to the oven and micro, thats why we are thinking of getting the samsung counter depth which is just 23 cu ft.
but this one is hardly sticking out.. now you have got me thinking once again.. maybe i should get the bigger one, if not 29 then 25.

very nice... it's funny (and sad) that we can have conversations like this and we all know what model ID we are refering too...

you must have had agapi (she really pushes tgp 760)... are you happy with it? Was it worth the money?

It looks amazing in the pictures

Quite correct we had Agapi and I think she's smart to push it. I would certainly say it was worth the money and my wife agrees. Most definitely one of the no-regrets upgrades.

Need help to do some selections for the Appliances:

Is it a good idea to mix and match diifferent brands, my wife is completly againest it, but I want to buy each appliance with the brand known for it. and it doesn't look like that One brand is good in all unless you go for really highend.

also, has anybody dealt the with Maytag Store in Milton, at the same complex where walmart is? any remarks?

Has anybody have expeiences with Maytag Appliances. Maytag or Whirpool???????

hi farhan, we have the same model as you and also chose the grande kitchen with the wall oven and fridge being beside each and we decided to buy different brands.

we bought based on what we liked for each individual appliance and simply made sure to match the handles as closely as we could.

we went to the maytag store in milton (i believe you're referring to the outlet). they were nice and gave us the best price around, even beat our albert troncho who was the front runner for a while. its worth checking out, but, they require 25% down instead of 10%.

between maytag and whirlpool, i'd say go whirlpool

We haven't dealt with Maytag in Milton. But, we did originally buy a fridge from Maytag in Mississauga (Dundas/403). The fridge had to be received and delivered to us within a week of purchasing. We agreed to that. When it arrived with a big scratch on it......thank god we took the plastic/cardboard wrap of it, we advised Maytag. They told the delivery guys that they had to leave the scratched fridge in our house until they could come back to schedule a pick up the following week. Alberto provided no apology for the scratched fridge. He did eventually call back and offer us a $200 discount if we just kept it. He was rude and arrogant. Needless to say, we returned the fridge and bought a different one from somewhere else. We love our new LG fridge and we ended up getting a better (Boxing Day) deal for it. I guess it worked out.

All our appliances are different brands. Again, we tried to keep the handles similar looking.

We love it! It's the LG with water/ice dispenser and two freezer drawers at the bottom.

We had a side-by-side Kenmore which we sold with the old house. That was great too. We found the side-by-side was too small for us. The LG has lots of room and is well organized. We just have to get used to opening two doors when you are searching for something in the fridge, unless you know exactly where stuff is all time.

I think you will like the LG.

:D

Its' fine to mix and match brand names, just keep the colour scheme the same, this is what I plan to do closer to my closing. I hear Samsung's are top notch for refrigerators and Bosch are excellent for dishwashers. The rest, I haven't seen any major differences between the brands. Come to think of it, Kenmore is made by a few of the major manufactures like Samsung and LG. Give them a try. Buying different brands saves you $$$, doesn't' tie you to the same brand if you don't like the look and allows you to buy the brand better know for their particular quality.

I'm very close to cut a deal for KITCHENAID... will appreciate to have some feedback on pricing ..... (ALSO What store are really competitve for Samsung and LG Appliances)

ALL SS:
Fridge~25CUFT, frenchdoor,bottom freezer,water dispenser inside $2,236, After taxes:
http://www.kitchenaid.ca/flash.cmd?/#/e ... BFS25EVMS/

Electric range,Free standing, : $1,269 After Taxes
http://www.kitchenaid.ca/flash.cmd?/#/en/category/45/

Dishwahser, 3 cycle: $689 After taxes
http://www.kitchenaid.ca/flash.cmd?/#/e ... UDC03FVSS/

OTR, 2 CUFT: $606 After Taxes
http://www.tascoappliance.ca/c44-microw ... 040ss.html

I'm also interested in Smasung, but so far I did find much variety int he stores I've been.

Also, is anybody having the Steam Cycle option in their dryer, is it a must have feature?

Leons is having a deal for wahser dryer $999 (3.6cu wahser)
but maytag is offering bigger washer dryer with steam cycle option for $1,699 (with 400 rebate after taxes)

We might be the Least knowledgable couple for appliances, so any feedback in terms of feature will also be appreciated.

There is no reason to use the same brand for all your appliances... for that matter you don't even have to have the same style for all of them (maybe a SS stove will look good in your kitchen, but you prefer a black dishwasher that is on the other side of the Kitchen).

We went with all stainless appliances, but none of them are the same brand and it looks good IMHO.

And I second going to Appliance Canada... we went all over and they had the best selection and pricing for what we were looking for, and also provided some great information on the pros and cons of different models.
