Interested in the central vac group buy as well...

Do our homes come with everything ready to go, ie all the tubes in the walls...all we need is the central vac?

I've sent a PM message with my email to start collecting the money via interact EMT to those people that have PM'd me there information. Payment can be done anytime, BEFORE November.

I think it be better if people send me the new address were the opener will be installed for warranty purposes.

Calculate your cost and PM me your contact info, order and the amount you will be sending to me. Basically I',m gonna print out all the PMs so he can complete the invoice. Also, If I don't hear from you by next week I will be sending you a PM. Once it hits November the order will be put in, so if I don't hear anything from you, you won't be in on the group buy. Everyone else that have contacted and or sent payment, I'll let you guys know ASAP as soon as they arrive.

Lots of info their. I did somemore research into Cana-vac. Apparently they have really good motors and have a 12/25 year warranty on the motors depending on which size of vacuum. They also have a lifetime warranty on their canisters. Hopefully I can get us a good deal on these.

Hey Dean,

Put us down for 1, we will make our final decision based on pricing I suppose.

not sure if we will get central vac; never had one so don't the benefits.

However we did go to The Vacuum Store in Milton and the owner recommended a brand called Nilfisk (the CV 20 model) www.nilfisk.ca. It is supposed to be the most efficient and quiested central vac on the market. There is a video online as well that explains the vac http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IhYZjbczXQ I think the price point was reasonable too....around $800-$900 installed. Not sure if we will get it but we'd thought we'd share with everyone to look at options.

Thanks Dilex! I was impressed, I've been researching the central vacs lately, this is by far the most impressive one. These guys have dealers all over Ontario (including the Vacuum store in Milton). I've pasted information below in case we want muscle a group buy!

Hey everyone. Not sure if this has been discussed already but Cogeco offers 3 months free for phone, TV, and internet for new Mattamy houses in MIlton.
Oliver called today.
And there has been some information batted around about Bell Fibe TV, etc and when Oliver called Bell today, at first they told him that there was Fibe TV available, but when they went to check with a supervisor, they came back and said that Fibe TV is not offered right now. So a dish is still required for Bell TV.
We've chosen Cogeco. We've used it for years and it seems to be the better choice for us and with 3 months free for everything that's a pretty good savings. And you do not need to sign a contract to get the three months so you can switch after that if you want.

We went with Cogeco as well. Really I am waiting for Teksavvy cable internet so I wanted Cogeco to install the cable internet. Who knows, we may keep them or try Bell for 3 months...

Yes, it sucks. I have to exit the house to get or make calls. Also, anyone with Bell Mobility? My term is up and I'm thinking of going with Bell because we get corporate plans available to us.

Hey all,

Last time we were at the house, a man handed us a Bell pamphlet offering 12 free months of phone, and 3 free months of internet and cable.

It looked like he was gonna hang the adds on doors. Anyone else get these?

I'm not a fan of Bell mobility as I find I lose reception a lot. Also, Bell customer service is notorious for rudeness.

We got that hangar (although it had been pulled off and was in the mud on our driveway) but I know Oliver spent a VERY long time on the phone with Bell today and they couldn't get their stories straight about Fibe TV. We also figured that we don't want to get a dish put on our house and would prefer to stick with Cogeco since we have had pretty good service from them at least up until now. We may switch after the three months....we'll see.

Hey guys, still trying to work out a group buy on central vac. Having trouble working out a deal with the Canavac dealer and Nilfisk dealer as they've pretty much told me they can't do any group discounts.

However, I'm done some research and central vacs made by Purvac, Duovac and Drainvac and they apparently superior central vacs. They use a cyclonic technology similiar to the Dyson vacuums so they apparently work very good.

Just curious, you guys care more about performance or price? For price, the Canavac central vac have a package without installation going for $399-$599 and installation going for about $200. Mind you, I think installation is very easy, but it is available.

maybe get a % off for either the cheap one, or the expensive one. Give people a choice. As long as its a deal, thats all that matters. Then people can buy which one they want. Just a thought.

I think these pamphlets have a specific name of an individual and their contact information....if you wouldn't mind, could you guys (Amabelle or Tickle Trunk) pass on this information. I am moving in January, and since I am part of the firebreak homes, it may pass me by.

Let me know, it will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
