How does someone become ineligible for the rebate? Please elaborate.

You're ineligible if the house you buy will not be your principal residence, for instance, you're buying it to rent it out for a profit.

Congratulations to you all on your close or imminent close. May I ask if any of you have any moving boxes I can take off your hands? Thanks.

Cogeco has a New Builder Dept. They are the ones to call to get the free install, all services free for 3 mons, no contract.

1-866-216-0045

I called that early 2010 and got a girl named Nicole. There is a girl posting to contact her (here is a link to her post) but I'd probably just as well call the TF number.

Hey Coombsters!

Is there a Cogeco representative in Milton, similar to what Bell has?

Just wanted to know prior to making a final decision on choosing our provider. Just wanted to get further clarity on the cable, phone and internet packages they offer for new moves.

Thanks in advance!

thanks Devious for the Cogeco information...will definitely check it out.

I was swaying towards Bell, but since that Fibe TV won't be available until 2013 (at the earliest)...I want to consider the only other option for TV.

Hi everyone,

We haven't been actively participating in the board, because in the last few months our circumstances have changed. It is with much sadness we have to sell our beautiful new home on Coombs Court, and we will not be moving to Milton.

We wanted to give you the heads up before you see the "for sale" sign go up, and we know we are going to miss out on being part of a pretty amazing community. I have been watching all the group planning and sharing with disappointment since we made the decision. We also wanted to let you know, since you may have friends that were hoping to move into the area and missed out on the fun night(s) of camping over a year ago.

We wish you all the best with your new homes and know Coombs Court will be a great neighbourhood to be part of, and raise families in.

Nicole, Brad and Graydon

I am sad to hear this guys! I hope all is well, when is the official closing? Anyways best of luck. If you want you can PM me the details....lot size, price, upgrades etc....I may have someone in Oakville who may be looking to move. I will have to follow up with them though to see if they still want to :?

Kind regards,
Sunny&Geeta

Awwwww Cressman's, that's really too bad you aren't joining the 'hood. All the best with the sale.

Has anyone seen any action with LOT 16? We don't know who is there and I really want to know who our next door neighbs are! Anyone moved in, please stalk the house for me and report back!

So anyone moved in want to share your early COOMBS life sentiments?
Anyone with moving boxes you are getting rid of?

Let me know about the boxes, #1. I'm in packing and moving chaos. We have barely started packing since the house sale with showings on top of work has not left much time! Now I'm paying a price! LOL

Does anyone know who is the provider of our hot water tank? Not sure who I should be calling to set this up. Also are most people renting or buying it straight out?

Reliance. I think they set it up for you though. Anyone else answer to this? I know that I've never been advised to call. I think you should just expect a bill in anonyh or so is what I've read. We haven't decided what to do yet. We haven't had enough time to really research everything. I'd like a tankless but still considering options.

We just called Direct Energy to cancel the rental of the tank for our current home (it only took an hour on the phone, goodness gracious). But I just want to make sure that the new home is set up. However Amy it makes sense that it is done automatically and that we have some time to decide whether to rent or buy.

I did read somewhere on this forum that you have 7 days to decide or if you change your mind and buy one somewhere else, they charge $80 to take the tank away. But don't quote me on that - read it somewhere but I don't remember which thread.
2 more sleeps!! :D

LOL good to know, A.
I think we'll wait it out for now anyway. We have a 60 gallon in our house now. I hope we don't need bigger....but we'll see. We'll absorb the rental cost for now and see how things go.
Did I mention.....2 more sleeps!
