Justagirl, now the 9' package includes the 8' doors. You don't need to pay extra money as before. That makes it a even better deal. :-)

Yes, 8' doors and taller windows included in upgrade price. That's what interested me more otherwise 8ft door frame price by itself is quiet high.

It can be a very difficult decision- we considered it as well.

We considered 9' in the basement and/or second floor, in the end we went with 10' ceiling on the main level. Figured for us it made the most sense. We spend most of our time there, we get ready and sleep upstairs only. The basement we wanted but for $13k it was too pricey for me and the house is big enough I don't know when we'll use the basement.

You were able to get 10 foot ceilings on the main floor? I inquired about that and they said that was not allowed. I would have loved to get 10 foot ceilings on the main floor!

Our next house isn't with Mattamy, it wasn't an option for our last house that was with them.

10 ft ceiling as an option is amazing and having the basement 9 ft is a must have if available.

@cookiepaws: Can you please share the name of the builder offering these options. Is the builder building homes in Milton?

BTW we did go with a 9ft ceiling on the second floor and were planning to pay extra for taller doors. Thanks mathar for sharing the info that we don't have to pay for that separately.

Hi AK,

I just saw your post, our next home that we are building is with Rosehaven. It is in Ancaster, they don't have anything in Milton. They are a smaller builder 3000 homes in 20 years. My husband and I are actually going to be in the 20th anniversary magazine as purchasers. I wish taller doors were included when we upgraded but sadly they weren't we had to pay for each door luckily they're weren't too many.
