Just the height (the width was a perfect fit)...also I should mention, that our kitchen supplier was Frendel and you could only increase the height in increments, therefore the next one up that accommodated the fridge, but left a gap of a few inches remaining. What we did was keep a piece of valance fromt he kitchen install and attached it to the top of the fridge opening...this makes the fridge look built in and filled in the gap that was left.

We have this fridge too...and it's perfect counter depth, however it is taller than the standard Mattamy fridge opening so you'll have to have the height adjusted. It's the GE Cafe CustomStyle Counter Depth Side by Side Fridge.

wow i thought it was a regular fridge... I may have to consider a counter depth then.

Also when you asked them to increase the hole's height... did you do width also?

Seems like enough room on either side and looks more than standard.

It's about time justagirl! :-)

And now you are leaving that beautiful kitchen and fabulous back yard. Well you will just have to post your new kitchen when you're settled in to the country house.

We're almost done our new kitchen now too. It was mostly finished before Christmas; just a few frou-frouey things left which should be done by next weekend. I'll post it when it's finished if I can figure out how to make my stupid camera work. All the pictures are come out super dark and the damn camera auto-overrides everything I do -- can't figure out how to get it to take a normal-looking picture. Arrrghhh, isn't technology wonderful sometimes?!

Anyway, your kitchen is gorgeous justagirl. Where did you get your pendants from? I love them.

lol... sorry I'm not 100% sure I'll have to ask my husband I believe he got them from either rona or home depot. I do really like them, in real life they have a light biege mosic pattern on them, In the evening they are so nice they give off a very warm glow. If your thinking of getting them for your new kitchen, you must come over for coffee first, and check them out. Besides it's about time you haven't been to my house yet.

I first posted our kitchen back on page 2 of this thread. It's changed a lot with our recent reno.

Props to Concept Cabinets on main street here in milton, Matt Hastie general contracting, Brian White (briwhi on this forum) for lighting and electrical, and John (universalTile on this forum) for backsplash and flooring. All of them were great and I highly recommend them for anyone considering any reno work.

Okay justagirl, is it "soon" yet? Let's see those pics!!!

King Luis, congrats on your Currant. It's such a great layout.

We also did black and white in our Currant ... just laminate, no quartz for us though rats, rats, rats. :) We did do the non-raised bar (really happy with that decision). Couple pics:
