Hi guys - has anyone have any experience where you ended up hiring an electirician or someone to install interior lighting in the kitchen or great room? Pot lights and recessed lighting are about $230 per light...would like to add about 4 in the kitchen and about 6-8 in the great room...but dont really want to spend $3k on lights only (have to pay additional for the separate switch as well).

Can anyone provide some feedback if this is something that is difficult that requires to punch a lot of holes through the ceiling or is there a way an electrician does this to minimize the ceiling damage...and where the cost is fairly reasonable and realistic?
