Does anyone know of a local long-distance running club for kids? My son is 13 but isn't in high school yet so he can't participate in their programs. I've tried Running Free but they don't have anything for kids and my inquiries to a few clubs I found online have gone unanswered so I don't know if they have shut down. I would prefer local rather than going to another town.

Hi KDJ! I would highly recommend you check out the Adventure Running Kids program based out of Hamilton. They are expending into Halton this spring and run some great programs. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Adventure Running kids is expanding into Halton? YAY! The Hamilton locations are just too far for us, but my daughter is dying to join (she did adventure running at camp in the summer and loved it).

KDJ, i believe there's a youth track club of some sort in Burlington, although I don't really know anything about it other than I've heard it exists.

I wanted to pass along some info for an Adventure Running Kids Race (not really a race...more for fun for most kids) that is coming up in a few weekends in Dundas Valley. Beautiful area for some adventure and should be a great time for the kids (and parents if they'd like to participate).

Unfortunately their new locations will be in Brampton and Hamilton in the spring for the younger kids and Kitchener-Waterloo for more advanced teens. It will be more than a year before they move into the Milton area.
