I called this place in Oakville about the Wizard screen and it was the same, if not more, than the Phantom (I think around 385$). I would stick to Phantom. I'm going to install mine next spring.

We bought a "no name" brand from Home depot. I was able to get a great deal on line at the time for just over $100. We installed it ourselves on our balcony door...

I checked out the 'no name' ones at Lowes. I asked numerous people (I visited Lowes on many occassions because I couldn't justify the price for a Phantom) and ALL of the employees told me that the no name's had been returned multiple times because they get stuck, they break, the screen tears etc. So many returns apparently that the manufacteur was looking into 'fixing' the product. He told me, in his opinion, he would just wait and get a Phantom. Might not be worth it to get the cheaper ones if you have to replace it a couple times, you know? Anyways, take what I've said with a grain of salt.

We have had the no name for 2 years now although it is not used every day. It sticks alittle because we short cutted on the install but definately no problems with the quality of the screen or anything else.

Anyone looking for a retractable screen may want to add the ClearView retractable screen for which I am the local dealer. ClearView screens have a speed reducer built in, anyone who has a retractable screen will know they slam shut, because of this we have a speed reducer as standard. We also have edge reinforcement to prevent the edges fraying and tearing, along with a superscreen mesh it is probably the best retractable screen door on the market.

More info see http://www.clearviewcanadainc.ca/en/ the factory is in Mississauga. For a demo please call 9059660838

^^^ Check out their web site! They have a lot of different screen types to offer for all types house holds. Looks like they can even screen in your front or back porch.

I wonder how much these things cost. Our dog destroyed our patio door screen.

You can always have your screen door re-screened. Opt for pet proof screen which is 10x stronger than regular screen mesh
