Halton's COVID19 advisory page is updated daily and is required by law to be accurate. Also, Halton DSB only has 93 schools so it's highly questionable that they currently have outbreaks in nearly 100% of the schools. Is this perhaps the fake news you often rail against?

I miss the old Peppermint who thought the coronavirus was just like the flu and not a big deal. Also, wasn't it supposed to disappear with the summer?

This outbreak is odd
Schools are closed (even teachers are remote learning from home due to lockdown) so not sure exactly how they could get an outbreak at a closed school with no staff (paper indicated they reached out for comment but no answers given)

The school board ADMITS they are not updating their website with cases due to closures
So they HAVE been HIDING numbers (as I said many times in this thread) and communicating ONLY to public health and the infected students

Schools are still open for certain students, mostly special education needs. It's like in a developmentally delayed class or something similar that has had the cases. The decision to not update is likely one of privacy since there are so few students at the school, it is easy to identify who is affected. It's similar to how EQAO results for small schools aren't reported. It is too easy to identify individuals.

This definitely reinforces the notion that the government has done a terrible job of protecting schools and students. Even with fewer than a dozen kids in a building and maybe another dozen adults working in there, a school is still getting an outbreak?
