I've seen stores and restaurants suddenly close in Milton with zero warning. The SuperStore is showing every sign, however, that is may close soon. I was shopping there last night, and I was amazed at what I saw (or didn't see). For a Wednesday night, not very many shoppers, and I quickly noticed why. Many of the shelves were left empty and were not restocked with groceries. The meat display was baren, and the meat that was on display was at 1929 Depression Level Pricing....$24 for a small tray of ground beef...$15 for a chicken...and pork ribs (2), on sale at $32. Wow.

Maybe they are closing. Maybe they are just restructuring the store. I am just speculating, but I won't be going back there for a while. Maybe others can share their experience as well.

if I was a guessing man... I would say they are cleaning the shelf for inventory and then a HUGE on-slot of inventory for Xmas.

Maybe they are redesigning the interior so that the isles are even longer with a one way door at the start and an escape door at the very end.

Yes, like a food Ikea, but bigger, with no shortcuts, and no staff.

Their profitability would likely quadruple if they had Metrolinx as a tenant for parking at that location.
Then they could buy the adjacent property that Metrolinx never tried to buy and rebuild their store 150 yards away and get all the GO traffic.

Your 15 minutes is up.
If you think of something spectacularly as stupid, try again so we can laugh at you some more.

There is no way. As if any massive grocery store would shut its doors before the most profitable time of the year.
PP's guess that they are making way for Christmas inventory and/or reorganizing is a far more likely scenario than a closure.

Well, since we're all dreaming here, below ground parking would be a dream, with the SuperStore, daycare and a gym on top and along the "Milton path" to the train platform is Tim Hortons and dry cleaners.

If I had to guess I would say that Superstore is probably the most successful supermarket in Milton, they ain't going anywhere. Maybe Longo's is up there as well, fooling white people into buying $9 coleslaw.
